A machine can often perform multiple tasks when the right accessories are available. Whether it’s attachments for a new job or upgrades for an existing application, optional accessories are available for many Jansen machines. Which accessories are best suited depends on your machine and the task you want to perform with it.
What types of accessories are available?
Attachments can change a machine’s range of applications. For example, a suitable bucket or ripper tooth expands the capabilities of an excavator; shovels and forks enable various transport tasks with a loader. Other accessories adapt an existing function, such as a retrofit part for a mower or an attachment for a transport vehicle.
- Attachments for excavators and loaders: for digging, scooping, lifting, or moving suitable materials.
- Extensions for mowers and mulchers: for specific working positions or operating functions.
- Attachments and additions for transport vehicles: suited to the load and the respective machine.
“Optionally available” means that an accessory is not automatically included with the base machine. Check the product description before ordering the machine and accessory together or retrofitting an existing machine.
How to check if an attachment fits
The model designation is the first step, but it is not always sufficient. Compare the intended mounting point, dimensions, and permissible loads. For hydraulically powered accessories, the connections, oil volume, and operating pressure must also match the machine. If you are unsure, Jansen can verify the combination with you based on the machine’s specifications.
Choose accessories based on the actual work to be done. For example, a larger bucket isn’t automatically the better choice if weight and material limit the machine’s permissible load. Similarly, an attachment for a mulcher should be compatible with the specific model series and version.
Distinguishing Between Accessories and Replacement Parts
Accessories complement or expand a machine’s capabilities. Replacement and wear parts are used to maintain or restore its existing function. This distinction helps with your search: If you want to add an additional task, look for suitable accessories. If you need to replace a worn-out or damaged component, use the spare parts request form.
