Accessibility Statement

1) Introduction

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.

Below you will find information on the accessibility of our online services.

We will inform you about:

  • which offerings and functions you can expect on this website,
  • how you can use these offerings and functions,
  • which options are available to enable accessible use, and
  • which authority is responsible for monitoring the accessibility of this website.

2) Offerings and Functions of This Website

This website is an online shop for the sale of goods.

Goods are defined as physical items.

You will be presented with goods that can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then bindingly ordered and paid for.

This website features a header and a footer menu.

In the header menu, the goods we sell are listed by category and can be accessed individually.

Each product is described on its own detail page with additional information about its key characteristics, scope of delivery, and total price. From there, it can be added to the shopping cart.

In addition, once you have added at least one product to the shopping cart, you can visit the cart via the header menu. From the cart, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.

The footer menu contains links to our legal notice with contact information, information on the legal basis of our online offering, shipping and payment options, and other useful service pages.

3) Explanation of Use of the Offerings and Functions

3.1 Virtual Buttons

This website can be operated using virtual buttons.

3.2 Home, Overview, and Product Detail Pages

On the homepage, a selection of offered products is displayed in the central area. By interacting with a product presentation, you are taken to the product detail page.

In the header menu, you can navigate between various product categories.
After selecting a category, you will be directed to an overview page that displays all products in that category.

By interacting with a product on the overview page, you are again directed to the product detail page.

The product detail pages contain, in addition to all essential product and pricing information, a quantity selection (if applicable) and an add-to-cart button.

If available, the desired order quantity can be set using the quantity selector.

3.3 Electronic Shopping Cart

By clicking the add-to-cart button, you add the product (optionally in the selected quantity) to the shopping cart.

You can access this shopping cart at any time via the header menu.

Here, you can review the added products. Using corresponding buttons, products can be removed or, if applicable, the quantity can be adjusted.

3.4 Electronic Ordering Process

After reviewing your items, you can complete the ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.

First, you will be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address, and shipping and/or billing address) in a form.

In the next step, you can choose between available shipping and/or service options.

Finally, you can select a payment method, enter the required payment details, and finalize your order.

The order becomes binding only when you click the designated button on the final order page. This button is labeled "Buy", "Buy Now", "Order with obligation to pay", or another clear phrase.

Before clicking this order button, you can navigate back through the steps at any time using your browser’s “Back” button and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.

If you select an online payment method, you will be redirected to the provider’s payment system from the final order page to complete the payment.

4) Legal Requirements for Accessibility

This website, as an online shop, is classified as a “service in electronic commerce” and features electronic ordering and payment options.

It is therefore subject to specific legal requirements regarding accessibility.

Generally, this website must provide functions and procedures that address the needs of people with disabilities and allow for operability via assistive digital technologies.

The online shop functions must be:

  • perceivable
  • operable
  • understandable, and
  • robust

Perceivability means that information and components are presented in a way that is accessible to all users.

Operability requires that the functions can be used by users with mobility or cognitive impairments.

Understandability requires that information and functions are logically structured, easily recognizable, and unambiguous.

Robustness means that the content and features function reliably and without limitations, even when users rely on digital assistive technologies.

If products are offered that are themselves subject to accessibility requirements, information about their accessible use must be provided—if available.

5) Available Support for Accessible Use

This website fulfills accessibility requirements through the following measures:

  • Alt texts for images: All images in the shop are equipped with alternative texts providing a short description, which can be interpreted by screen readers.
  • Adjustable font size: The font size of the content can be adjusted to suit individual user needs.
  • Adjustable color contrast: The color contrast of page elements is adjustable, allowing for enhancement or reduction.
  • Browser-independent rendering: Content and functionality are identically structured and rendered across all modern browsers.
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A stylesheet language is used to separate layout, color, and formatting from content structure. This allows assistive technologies to apply their own visibility schemes.
  • Adequate letter spacing: Characters are spaced sufficiently to ensure readability is not impaired.
  • Compatibility with screen readers: The website’s content is compatible with all major screen readers and can be interpreted and processed accordingly.
  • Responsive design (adjusts to screen sizes): Content and elements automatically adapt in size to the user's device.
  • Scalability (readability when zoomed in): Content remains high-resolution and readable when zoomed in.
  • High color contrast: A strong contrast between text and background colors ensures optimal visibility.
  • Subtitles in videos: Embedded videos include subtitles to ensure full accessibility for the hearing impaired.
