JANSEN® Tractor Log Splitter – 14 metric tons of splitting force, 105 cm, and 3-point hitch

This compact and robust JANSEN® tractor log splitter achieves a splitting force of 14 metric tons and is powered directly by the hydraulic system of a suitable tractor, farm tractor, or other carrier vehicle. It is attached via the Category 1 or 2 3-point hitch.

With a maximum splitting length of 105 cm and a cylinder stroke of 100 cm, the log splitter is also designed for logs of corresponding length. A special feature of the design: The log is pressed against the stationary splitting wedge by the hydraulic cylinder.

The hydraulic hoses required for connection to the carrier vehicle are included in the scope of delivery. A hydraulic supply and return line are required, with the return line needing to be pressureless.

14 metric tons of splitting force via the tractor’s hydraulic system

The JANSEN® tractor log splitter is powered by the hydraulic system of the carrier vehicle. At an oil pressure of approx. 175 bar, the log splitter achieves a splitting force of 14 metric tons.

An oil flow rate of at least 26.0 l/min is required for operation. The maximum oil flow rate is 41.6 l/min.

A supply and return line are required for connection to the carrier vehicle. The return line must be pressureless. The corresponding hydraulic hoses for connection to the carrier vehicle are included in the scope of delivery.

3-point hitch for Categories 1 & 2

The log splitter can be connected to a suitable tractor via its Category 1 and Category 2 3-point hitch. The required mounting pins are included in the scope of delivery.

Another advantage of this design is the adjustable working height. Using the 3-point lifting system of the carrier vehicle, the log splitter can be raised to the desired working height.

105 cm splitting length & 100 cm cylinder stroke

The maximum splitting length is 105 cm. At the same time, the hydraulic cylinder has a stroke of 100 cm.

The cylinder requires approximately 15 seconds for a full forward stroke. The full return stroke takes approximately 17 seconds.

The cylinder bore is 100 mm.

The wood is pressed against the splitting wedge

With this log splitter, the hydraulic cylinder presses the wood against the fixed splitting wedge. After splitting, the split wood can fall out the back.

If a piece of wood becomes wedged against the splitting wedge or splitting cross, the next piece of wood may be pushed against the previous piece as the process continues.

The cylinder can also be stopped in various positions and then moved forward or backward again. A complete return to the starting position is therefore not required after every single splitting operation.

Two-Hand Operation

The JANSEN® tractor log splitter is equipped with a two-hand control system. Both control elements are used to operate the splitting process as intended.

The JANSEN® tractor log splitter is delivered well-protected in a wooden crate. Allow approximately 30 minutes for assembly.
