The JANSEN® HS-20H110-V2 is a powerful, floor-standing log splitter with 20 metric tons of measured splitting force and a maximum splitting length of 110 cm. The machine is powered by a robust KOHLER 4-stroke OHV gasoline engine with 6.5 PS.

The splitting force on our log splitters is measured directly at the splitting wedge. The HS-20H110-V2 also features a 30 cm-long splitting wedge and a standard log lifter, which is particularly helpful when processing large and heavy logs.

Thanks to its gasoline engine, the log splitter can be used without needing a power connection. The hydraulic system allows the splitting wedge to be stopped in various positions during operation and then moved either forward or backward as desired.

20 metric tons of splitting force – measured directly at the splitting wedge

The JANSEN® HS-20H110-V2 achieves a splitting force of 20 metric tons. The splitting force is measured directly at the splitting wedge and thus indicates the actual force applied there.

With a maximum splitting length of 110 cm, the log splitter is also designed for logs of corresponding length. The cylinder requires approximately 18 seconds to complete a full downward stroke. The full upward return also takes approximately 18 seconds.

30 cm long splitting wedge

The HS-20H110-V2 is equipped with a 30 cm long splitting wedge. Thanks to the long wedge, even thicker logs can be opened wide without having to be rotated immediately after a short splitting stroke.

The hydraulic system is designed so that the splitting wedge can be stopped in various positions. From there, it can then be moved either forward or backward as desired. A complete return to the upper starting position is therefore not required after every single splitting operation.

Log Lifter for Large Logs

The standard log lifter assists in processing large and heavy logs. With the machine’s assistance, the log can be lifted and positioned for the subsequent splitting operation.

6.5 PS KOHLER Gasoline Engine

The JANSEN® HS-20H110-V2 comes equipped with a KOHLER 4-stroke OHV gasoline engine. The engine delivers 6.5 PS or 4.8 kW and is started via a recoil starter.

The fuel tank capacity is approximately 3.6 liters. The specified fuel consumption is approximately 1.0–1.2 liters per hour.

Transport & Maneuvering

The HS-20H110-V2 is equipped with a drawbar and hitch, allowing it to be moved and maneuvered at the worksite. The maximum towing speed is 25 km/h.

With a total width of approx. 118 cm, the log splitter can also be transported on a suitable trailer.

Please note: The log splitter is not approved for road use and therefore must not be towed by a vehicle on public roads in Germany. For transport on public roads, the unit must be loaded onto a suitable trailer, for example.

The JANSEN® HS-20H110-V2 is manufactured and produced in accordance with the EU product safety standard EN 609:2017.

Important: A splitting cross is included in the scope of delivery. However, within the European Union, this must not be used when operating the log splitter, as EN 609:2017 does not permit the use of multiple splitting wedges or splitting crosses with log splitters.

Delivery & Commissioning

The JANSEN® HS-20H110-V2 is delivered well-protected and partially disassembled in a wooden crate. Allow approximately 3–4 hours for final assembly. A German operating manual is included with the delivery.

Approx. 20 liters of hydraulic oil are required for the initial fill. Hydraulic oil of the HLP46 classification is recommended. Additionally, approx. 1 liter of engine oil is required for the KOHLER gasoline engine. A multigrade oil of the 10W40 or 15W40 classification is recommended.

Note regarding the product video

Please note: The unit shown in the product video is an older model. On this model, the splitting wedge automatically returns to its starting position after the splitting process. Current log splitters are no longer equipped with this automatic return function.
