JANSEN® HS-20H110E Log Splitter – 20 metric tons of splitting force, 110 cm & 400V

The JANSEN® HS-20H110E is a powerful electric log splitter with 20 metric tons of measured splitting force and a maximum splitting length of 110 cm. A special feature is the hydraulic lifting mechanism: An additional hydraulic cylinder allows the machine to be easily raised or lowered and moved into the transport position.

The hydraulic pump is driven by a 400V electric motor with 2.2 kW. The cylinder has a piston stroke of 100 cm, while the 30 cm-long splitting wedge can be guided deep into the wood to be split.

Important: The JANSEN® HS-20H110E is intended exclusively for vertical splitting operation. The horizontal position is for handling or transport—the log splitter must not be operated in the horizontal position.

Hydraulic raising & lowering

A special feature of the HS-20H110E is the hydraulic raising and lowering. An additional hydraulic cylinder allows the machine to be raised from the transport position to the upright working position and then lowered again.

Especially given the machine’s weight of approximately 340 kg without fluids, this feature significantly simplifies handling of the log splitter.

Please note: The hydraulic lowering function is not intended for operating the log splitter while it is lying down. Splitting operations are intended exclusively for the upright position.

20 metric tons of splitting force – measured directly at the splitting wedge

The JANSEN® HS-20H110E achieves a splitting force of 20 metric tons. The splitting force is measured directly at the splitting wedge and thus indicates the actual force applied there.

The maximum splitting length is 110 cm. This is the actual maximum length of the piece of wood to be processed.

100 cm cylinder stroke & 30 cm splitting wedge

The cylinder of the HS-20H110E has a piston stroke of 100 cm. This allows the 30 cm long splitting wedge to be driven deep into the wood.

The long splitting wedge is particularly helpful when splitting thicker logs, as the wood is forced apart over a correspondingly long distance.

The hydraulic system is also designed so that the splitting wedge can be stopped in various positions. It can then be moved either forward or backward as desired. A full return to the starting position is therefore not required after every splitting operation.

400V electric motor with 2.2 kW

The hydraulic pump is driven by a 400V electric motor with 2.2 kW. The coordination of the electric motor and hydraulic pump provides the power required for the splitting process.

The electric drive requires no fuel and produces no local exhaust emissions during operation. A suitable 400V power connection is required for operation.

Enhanced Operation & Design

As part of ongoing product development, the HS-20H110E has been redesigned in several areas. In the current version, the controls are located directly on the cylinder, making them more accessible when the machine is in a stationary position.

In addition, many flexible hydraulic hoses have been replaced by permanently mounted metal lines. The wheels on the current model are ball-bearing mounted, enabling smoother operation when moving the machine.

Transport & Maneuvering

The HS-20H110E features a drawbar and hitch, allowing it to be moved and maneuvered at the job site. The hydraulic lowering mechanism allows the machine to be lowered to a significantly lower position for transport.

In the lowered position, the maximum dimensions are approximately 310 x 119 x 122 cm. In the upright working position, the log splitter reaches a maximum height of approximately 270 cm.

Please note: The log splitter is not approved for road use and therefore must not be towed behind a passenger car on public roads in Germany. For transport on public roads, the unit must be loaded onto a suitable trailer, for example.

Delivery & Commissioning

The JANSEN® HS-20H110E is delivered well-protected and partially disassembled in a wooden crate. Allow approximately 3–4 hours for final assembly.

Due to the weight of the individual components, assembly should be performed by at least two people. A German operating manual and exploded view diagrams are included in the scope of delivery.

Approximately 20 liters of hydraulic oil are additionally required for the initial fill. Hydraulic oil of the HLP46 classification is recommended.
