Two drive types – maximum flexibility

The major advantage of the JANSEN® HS-22A62K lies in its flexible drive concept. The hydraulic pump can be powered either by a 6.5 PS KOHLER gasoline engine or a powerful 400-V electric motor with 2.2 kW.

This makes the log splitter suitable for both stationary use on the farm or property and for work in locations without a suitable power supply.

The components required for operation with either the gasoline or electric motor are included in the scope of delivery. Once final assembly is complete, both drive units can be used as needed.

True 22-metric-ton splitting force

The JANSEN® HS-22A62K achieves a splitting pressure of 22 metric tons. The splitting pressure is measured directly at the splitting wedge on our log splitters and thus corresponds to the actual splitting force applied there.

In combination with the solid 30 cm-long splitting wedge, the HS-22A62K offers sufficient power reserves to process even challenging pieces of wood.

The maximum splitting length is 62 cm, making it ideally suited for traditional firewood preparation.

Splitting in an upright or horizontal position

A key advantage of the JANSEN® HS-22A62K is the ability to operate the log splitter both upright and horizontally.

This allows you to adapt your working method to the specific type of wood and your personal needs. The upright working position can be particularly advantageous for heavy or large logs, as the wood does not have to be lifted very high first.

The horizontal position is available for other tasks. This makes the combination log splitter highly flexible for a wide variety of splitting jobs.

30 cm splitting wedge & Splitting Cross Included

The HS-22A62K comes standard with a 30 cm splitting wedge. Additionally, a 30 cm splitting cross is included in the package.

The splitting cross is simply slid over the existing splitting wedge. This allows for a quick switch between the standard splitting wedge and the splitting cross.

Please note: When using the splitting cross, the log diameters should be smaller than when working with the standard splitting wedge.

Sophisticated hydraulics for comfortable operation

The JANSEN® HS-22A62K’s hydraulic system enables precise control of the splitting wedge. It can be stopped in any position and moved forward or backward.

This means the splitting wedge does not have to be fully retracted to its starting position after every work step. This reduces unnecessary travel, especially when splitting shorter pieces of wood, and helps streamline workflows.

A full downward stroke of the cylinder takes approximately 8 seconds.

Transport with a drawbar

The log splitter features a drawbar with a hitch and can therefore be easily moved on suitable private property.

Important: The JANSEN® HS-22A62K is not approved for road use and must therefore not be towed behind a passenger car on public roads in Germany.

For transport on public roads, the log splitter can, for example, be loaded onto a trailer using suitable ramps. With a total width of approximately 106 cm, the machine can also be transported on many conventional trailers.

Delivery & Assembly

The JANSEN® HS-22A62K is delivered well-packaged and disassembled in a sturdy wooden crate.

Allow approximately 4–5 hours for final assembly. Due to the machine’s heavy weight and the correspondingly heavy individual parts, we strongly recommend that assembly be performed by at least two people.

A German operating manual and exploded view diagrams are included with the delivery. If you have any questions during assembly, we’re happy to assist you.

For the initial fill, you’ll also need:
