JANSEN® UKF-145 Reversible Tiller, Soil Tiller, Rear-Mounted Tiller, Field Tiller, 1.45 m
JANSEN® UKF-145 – Rugged tractor-mounted reversible tiller with a 145 cm working width, fine-crumbling roller, and PTO drive
The JANSEN® UKF-145 is a robust and powerful tractor reverse tiller, reverse soil tiller, rear tiller, and field tiller for thorough soil cultivation and professional seedbed preparation. With a working width of 145 cm, a total of 28 high-quality tiller blades, a tilling depth of approx. 16 cm, and an integrated fine-crumbling roller, it is particularly well-suited for preparing lawns, planting beds, and agricultural soil.
The reversible tiller was developed for attachment to tractors with 35 PS or more. Thanks to its Category I and II three-point hitch, it can be used with appropriately equipped compact and narrow-track tractors.
Power is supplied via the tractor PTO at 540 rpm. The required PTO shaft is included in the scope of delivery. A robust oil-bath chain drive ensures power transmission to the tilling shaft.
What sets the JANSEN® UKF-145 apart is the reverse tilling method: The tilling shaft rotates in the opposite direction of travel. This separates stones and coarse plant debris from the finer soil. The trailing fine-crumb roller with a sturdy grid structure strong> then helps create a uniform, fine-crumb soil surface.
This makes the JANSEN® UKF-145 a reliable solution for gardening and landscaping, lawn installation, horticulture, and agriculture.

145 cm working width for efficient soil cultivation
The JANSEN® UKF-145 features a working width of approx. 145 cm and is therefore particularly suitable for working on small to medium-sized areas.
Thanks to its compact design, it is a practical solution for use with suitable compact and narrow-track tractors.
Uniform tilling over 1.45 meters
With a working width of 1.45 meters, the reverse tiller works a continuous area of soil in a single pass.
The tiller blades loosen and break up the soil, while the special reverse tilling process helps separate coarser soil particles.
Ideal for horticulture and lawns
The UKF-145 is particularly well-suited for preparing lawns, planting beds, and garden areas.
The working width also offers practical advantages in tree nurseries, orchards, and other areas with limited space.
Approx. 16 cm tilling depth for thorough soil preparation
The JANSEN® UKF-145 achieves a tilling depth of approx. 16 cm, enabling intensive cultivation of the upper soil layers.
The actual working depth achievable depends on soil conditions and the specific operating conditions.
Loosening and breaking up the soil
The rotating tilling blades loosen the soil and break up larger clumps.
This creates a loosened soil structure suitable for subsequent planting and seeding.
Optimal preparation for lawns and seedbeds
A uniform and fine-crumbly soil structure is particularly important when establishing new lawns.
The UKF-145 combines mechanical soil cultivation with the reverse tilling method and an integrated fine-crumbling roller.
Reverse tilling method – effective separation of stones and plant debris
Unlike a conventional tiller, the JANSEN® UKF-145 features a tilling shaft that rotates in the opposite direction of travel.
This special process enables intensive soil preparation and helps create a uniform seeding surface.
Counter-rotating tilling shaft
The tilling shaft picks up the soil and moves it against the direction of travel toward the sturdy tines designed for this purpose.
In the process, the soil is loosened and broken up.
Stones and coarse plant debris are separated
Through the reverse tilling process, stones and coarse plant debris are separated from the finer soil.
Coarser particles remain beneath the finer soil layer, while the processed soil is distributed on top.
Fine-crumb soil surface
The finer soil is then processed by the trailing fine-crumb roller.
This creates a more uniform soil surface that is particularly well-suited for preparing seedbeds and lawns.
Integrated fine-crumb roller with a sturdy grid structure
The JANSEN® UKF-145 is equipped with an integrated fine-crumb roller.
The solid roller features a sturdy grid structure and helps create a uniform, fine-crumb seedbed.
Uniform soil surface
The fine-crumb roller works the previously tilled soil and helps level the surface.
This is particularly advantageous when preparing lawns and planting beds.
Fine soil structure for seeding
Through the combined action of the reversible tiller and the fine-crumb roller, the soil can be loosened, prepared, and leveled in a single pass.
This creates a solid foundation for subsequent seeding and planting.
Robust grid roller
The sturdy grid construction is designed to withstand the stresses of soil cultivation.
It complements the solid construction of the reversible tiller and is an essential component of the machine’s design.
28 high-quality tiller blades made of forged steel
The JANSEN® UKF-145 features a total of 28 high-quality tiller blades made of forged steel.
The blades are mounted on a sturdy rotor shaft and ensure thorough soil cultivation.
Four tiller blades per flange
Each of the 7 blade flanges is equipped with 4 tiller blades.
The uniform arrangement ensures thorough soil cultivation across the entire working width.
Forged steel for heavy-duty use
The tiller blades are made of forged steel and are designed to withstand the mechanical stresses of soil tillage.
Together with the solid rotor shaft, they form the heart of the reversible tiller.
Robust oil-bath chain drive
The rotor shaft of the JANSEN® UKF-145 is driven by a oil-bath chain drive.
The robust drive system transfers the tractor’s power to the tiller shaft.
Reliable Power Transmission
The mechanical chain drive is designed to withstand the stresses of soil cultivation.
Lubrication is provided via the side-mounted chain drive.
Important Note on Lubrication
Before initial startup, the side chain drive must be filled with approximately 2.5 liters of NLGI-0 grease.
The drives are shipped unfilled.
PTO drive at 540 rpm – drive shaft included
The JANSEN® UKF-145 is driven via the tractor PTO at 540 rpm.
The required cardan shaft is included in the scope of delivery.
Direct drive via the tractor
The drive power is transmitted to the reversible tiller via the tractor’s PTO.
A separate gasoline or electric motor is not required.
Drive shaft included
The included drive shaft connects the tractor to the reversible tiller.
Installation and any necessary length adjustments must be performed according to the operating instructions.
For tractors with 35 PS or more – ideal for compact and narrow-track tractors
