Tractor auger for Category I and II three-point hitches

The JANSEN® TBG-200 was developed for mounting on the three-point hitch of a tractor.

The design allows for attachment to compatible tractors with a Category I or Category II three-point hitch.

This makes the unit suitable for various tractor models, provided the technical requirements are met.

Category I three-point hitch

The TBG-200 can be mounted on tractors with a compatible Category I three-point hitch.

This also allows it to be used with appropriately equipped smaller tractors.

Category II three-point hitch

Alternatively, the tractor auger can be attached to a suitable Category II three-point hitch.

This expands the range of applications on different tractors.

Tractor power: 15 PS or more

The minimum power specified by the manufacturer is 15 PS.

However, depending on the selected drill bit diameter and the prevailing soil conditions, higher engine power may be required.

Especially when using larger drill bit diameters or working in challenging soil conditions, the tractor’s power capacity should be checked before use.

PTO drive at 540 rpm

The JANSEN® TBG-200 is driven via the tractor’s PTO.

The required PTO speed is 540 rpm.

The drive power is transmitted from the tractor to the reinforced gearbox of the earth auger via the drive shaft.

An additional gasoline engine or a separate electric motor is not required.

Power take-off shaft included in the scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes an adjustable power take-off shaft or drive shaft with protective cover.

This means that an essential component of the drive system is already included.

Before first use, the drive shaft must be adjusted to the required length and adapted to the existing connection conditions in accordance with the operating instructions.

Mechanical drive for reliable drilling operations

Direct power transmission via the tractor’s PTO shaft enables a mechanical drilling drive.

In combination with the reinforced gearbox, the TBG-200 is suitable for a variety of drilling applications.

Specially reinforced gearbox with a 1:3 reduction ratio

A key quality feature of the JANSEN® TBG-200 is the specially reinforced gearbox.

The gearbox was designed to withstand the stresses of drilling in various soil types.

The gearbox reduction ratio specified by the manufacturer is 1:3.

Robust Construction for Demanding Applications

When drilling holes in the ground, the drive can be subjected to considerable stress depending on soil conditions.

The reinforced gearbox is therefore an important component of the machine’s robust construction.

According to the manufacturer, the unit is also designed for use with more powerful tractors.

Fill with gear oil before initial startup

Important: The gearbox of the JANSEN® TBG-200 must be filled with oil before initial startup.

You will need 1.2 liters of 80W90 gear oil.

Filling must be performed according to the enclosed instructions.

Operating the unit without the required gear oil fill level can result in damage to the gearbox.

Shear Bolt Safety Device as Overload Protection

The JANSEN® TBG-200 features a safety system with a shear bolt.

This safety feature is designed to protect the drivetrain from damage in the event of an overload.

When drilling, for example, rocks or other obstacles can cause the drill bit to suddenly jam.

The shear bolt is designed as a mechanical safety element for such overload situations.

Protection for the transmission and drivetrain

In the event of an overload, the shear pin safety device is designed to help prevent damage to the transmission, drive shaft, and tractor.

It is an important component of the tractor drill’s safety concept.

Do not bypass the safety device

To ensure safe operation, the shear pin safety device must not be replaced with unsuitable fasteners or rendered inoperative.

If the overload protection is triggered, the cause of the jam and the condition of the unit must be checked before restarting operation.

Five auger sizes ranging from 150 to 600 mm are available

For the JANSEN® TBG-200, five different auger diameters are available.

This allows the tractor auger to be adapted to various tasks and required hole diameters.

The corresponding augers all have a uniform length of 1.25 meters.

150-mm-diameter auger

The 150-mm auger is suitable, for example, for smaller holes when installing fence posts.

225-mm-diameter auger

The 225-mm auger offers a larger drilling diameter for various fencing and planting projects.

300-mm-diameter earth auger

The 300-mm earth auger can be used to create larger holes for corresponding post-setting and planting tasks.

450-mm-diameter earth auger

The 450-mm earth auger is suitable for applications requiring a larger hole diameter, such as certain planting tasks.

600-mm-diameter auger

For particularly large holes, a 600-mm auger is available.

With this diameter, special attention must be paid to ensuring sufficient tractor power and suitable soil conditions.

Important: All augers are sold separately. The basic JANSEN® TBG-200 package does not include an auger.

1.25-meter-long augers with replaceable wear parts

The augers available for the JANSEN® TBG-200 have a length of 1.25 meters.

The augers are manufactured according to JANSEN® specifications and are subject to quality control.

A particular advantage is the maintenance-friendly design of the auger tools.

Screw-off auger tips

The auger tips of the compatible JANSEN® augers are screw-off.

This allows them to be replaced in case of wear or damage.

Replaceable cutting blades

The cutting blades of the earth augers are also replaceable.

This simplifies maintenance and supports long-term use of the drilling tools.

Suitable augers for various tasks

By selecting different auger diameters, the TBG-200 can be configured for various applications.

Before purchasing, the required auger diameter should be selected based on the intended application.

Efficient drilling for fence construction

The JANSEN® TBG-200 is particularly well-suited for drilling post holes in fence construction.

Bericht Teil 2
