Stump grinder for tractors with 30 to 60 PS

The JANSEN® BSF-60T was developed specifically for mounting on tractors.

The recommended tractor power range is 30 to 60 PS. This makes the machine suitable for tractors with the appropriate power output, a compatible three-point hitch, and hydraulic equipment.

The base frame consists of a sturdy construction with a three-point hitch and robust support legs.

Category I and II three-point hitches

The stump grinder is designed for attachment to tractors with a Category I or II three-point hitch.

This allows it to be combined with a variety of suitable tractors.

Before purchasing, check the tractor’s existing three-point hitch, lifting capacity, and required hydraulic connections.

PTO drive at 540 rpm

The JANSEN® BSF-60T is driven by the tractor PTO at 540 rpm.

The required PTO shaft is included in the scope of delivery.

A separate gasoline engine is therefore not required. The drive power is provided by the tractor.

60 cm milling wheel with 20 hardened milling blades

The heart of the JANSEN® BSF-60T is the 60 cm milling wheel.

A total of 20 milling blades made of hardened tool steel are bolted to the milling wheel.

The robust design enables the gradual grinding of tree stumps and root stocks.

20 milling blades made of hardened tool steel

The milling blades are made of hardened tool steel and are designed to withstand the high stresses involved in tree stump processing.

With a total of 20 milling blades, the BSF-60T features a powerful milling tool for processing various types of wood.

Milling blades can be replaced individually

The milling blades are individually bolted to the milling wheel.

This allows individual worn or damaged blades to be replaced as needed.

This maintenance-friendly design simplifies upkeep and supports cost-effective operation.

Milling wheel speed of 950 rpm

The milling wheel reaches a speed of 950 rpm.

In combination with the 20 hardened milling blades, this enables powerful wood shredding.

Hydraulic control of the milling head

A key advantage of the JANSEN® BSF-60T is the hydraulic movement of the milling head.

The machine is equipped with two hydraulic cylinders that allow the milling head to be swiveled both vertically and horizontally.

This allows the milling wheel to be guided precisely over the tree stump.

Horizontal swivel movement

The horizontal hydraulic movement allows the milling head to swivel sideways.

The swivel angle is 40°. The specified milling swivel range is approximately 60 cm.

The lateral movement makes it possible to remove the tree stump step by step over a larger area.

Vertical movement of the milling head

The second hydraulic cylinder enables vertical movement of the milling head.

This allows the working height to be adjusted during the milling process.

The hydraulic height adjustment facilitates work above and below ground level.

Convenient operation from the tractor cab

The JANSEN® BSF-60T can be operated directly from the tractor cab.

The horizontal and vertical movement of the milling head is controlled via the tractor’s hydraulic system.

This eliminates the need for the operator to manually swivel the milling head during normal operation.

This design offers a high level of operating comfort and facilitates the controlled processing of larger tree stumps.

Two double-acting hydraulic connections required

To operate the hydraulic milling head control, two double-acting hydraulic connections are required on the tractor.

Before purchasing, check whether the existing tractor has the appropriate connections.

The hydraulic control system is a central component of the machine’s operation.

Up to 30 cm milling depth below ground level

With the JANSEN® BSF-60T, tree stumps can be processed not only above ground but also below ground level.

The maximum specified milling depth is approximately 30 cm below ground level.

This allows even deeper sections of the rootstock to be milled.

Up to 40 cm milling height above ground level

The maximum specified milling height is approximately 40 cm above ground level.

This means that even tree stumps located higher above ground can be processed.

Wide working range for various tree stumps

Thanks to the combination of a 40 cm milling height, a 30 cm milling depth, and hydraulic swivel movement, the BSF-60T offers a versatile working range.

The actual working positions that can be achieved depend on the tractor’s setup and local conditions.

40° swivel arc and approx. 60 cm milling swivel range

The milling head of the JANSEN® BSF-60T has a swivel arc of 40°.

The milling swing range specified by the manufacturer is approximately 60 cm.

This lateral mobility allows the milling head to be guided over the tree stump without having to reposition the tractor for each individual milling movement.

This supports an efficient and controlled working method.

For larger tree stumps, the machine can be repositioned as work progresses.

Robust construction with three-point hitch and support legs

The JANSEN® BSF-60T was designed for demanding stump grinding tasks.

The base frame consists of the three-point hitch and sturdy support legs.

Weighing approximately 365 kg, the machine features a solid construction.

The design is engineered to withstand the stresses encountered when milling tree stumps and root stocks.

To ensure safe operation, the tractor requirements and the instructions in the operator’s manual must be followed.

For tree stumps of various sizes and wood types

The JANSEN® BSF-60T is designed for the removal of tree stumps and root stocks of various sizes and wood types.

Especially for larger-scale projects, the tractor-powered stump grinder offers advantages over small, hand-held stump grinders.

The combination of PTO drive, a large cutting wheel, and hydraulic control enables the processing of challenging tree stumps.

Removing Tree Stumps After Felling

After a tree is felled, a stump often remains in the ground.

With the JANSEN® BSF-60T, this stump can be gradually ground away.

Processing rootstocks below ground level

The maximum milling depth of approx. 30 cm allows for the processing of rootstock areas below ground level.

This enables areas to be prepared for future use.

Also suitable for larger tree stumps

The BSF-60T was developed specifically for tasks where smaller hand-held grinders reach their limits.

Actual performance depends, among other factors, on the type of wood, the diameter, and the condition of the tree stump.

Versatile Applications of the JANSEN® BSF-60T

Gardening and Landscaping

The JANSEN® BSF-60T is suitable for removing tree stumps during gardening and landscaping work.

The hydraulic control system allows for convenient operation from the tractor.

Forestry and Land Maintenance

The stump grinder can also be used to remove unwanted tree stumps during the maintenance of forest land and other areas.

Working on Agricultural Land

Remaining rootstocks and tree stumps can be removed on agricultural land.
