JANSEN® EFGC-145 Flail Mower – Robust mower with hammer flails for tractors 20 PS and up

The JANSEN® EFGC-145 stands out for its exceptionally robust construction and is one of the most proven flail mowers in its class. The reinforced bevel gear, the solid flail shaft, and the high-quality workmanship ensure excellent mulching results and a long service life.

Unlike many inexpensive knockoffs, the JANSEN® EFGC-145 is built exclusively to heavy-duty specifications. The mulcher is ideal for meadows, pastures, fallow land, orchards, and many other green spaces.

Note: The product video shows the larger JANSEN® EFGC-200. However, the design and functionality are the same as the EFGC-145.

Robust construction for versatile applications

The flail mower is driven by the PTO shaft included in the scope of delivery and achieves a working width of 142 cm. The reinforced bevel gear and solid construction ensure reliable power transmission and high stability.

Even tractors with as little as 20–30 PS can easily power the EFGC-145. The three-point hitch is designed for Categories I and II.

24 hammer blades for excellent mulching results

The 24 specially hardened hammer blades, each weighing approximately 0.8 kg, are arranged in four rows on the blade shaft and reliably shred grass, bushy vegetation, straw, and light woody material.

Thanks to the high flywheel mass of the heavy hammer blades, the mulcher operates significantly more effectively than comparable models with lightweight Y-blades. Even very tall grass and challenging material are processed cleanly.

Double-spiral rotor for smooth operation

The integrated double-spiral rotor ensures particularly smooth operation thanks to its even rotor load and reduces vibrations during operation.

This protects the drive components while simultaneously achieving a consistent mulching result.

Well-designed features

The EFGC-145 comes standard with a heavy-duty rear roller and a free-wheel transmission. The cutting height can be conveniently adjusted via the side-mounted skids.

Pendulum-suspended, galvanized protective slats at the front prevent stones and other clippings from escaping.

Maintenance-Friendly Design

The generously sized maintenance hatch provides quick access to the flail shaft. This makes maintenance work and the replacement of individual flails particularly easy.

Note: According to German occupational safety regulations (UVV), the maintenance hatch must remain closed during mowing operations to prevent stones or foreign objects from escaping.

Delivery & Assembly

The flail mower is delivered securely packed in a sturdy wooden crate.

Allow approximately 2 hours for final assembly. A German operating manual and an exploded view diagram are, of course, included with the delivery.

Assembly is straightforward, but we recommend that two people perform the installation.

Important notes before commissioning:

• The top link pin is not included in the scope of delivery.
• The transmission is shipped dry and must be filled with approximately 1 liter of transmission oil (80W90) before commissioning.
• Additionally, the drive shaft requires approximately 0.6 liters of gear oil (80W90).
