Our earth drill has its own hydraulic unit which is powered using a 10 HP petrol engine. The drill itself is driven by a very strong hydraulic engine. This drives the auger through hard, stony surfaces with ease. Even roots are no problem with this drilling device.
The drill and motor are hung in a pendulum fashion, so that they always balance out sloping positions accordingly. On uneven terrain you should drill with a slight lead angle to ensure the undercarriage does not roll under such circumstances. You can avoid “slanted drilling” in this way.
Thanks to the towing apparatus you can easily attach the earth drill to the ball head coupling of a passenger car, tractor, etc., and transport it to the drilling site.
A 5 part drilling set, consisting of 300, 250, 200, 150 and a 125 mm augers, comes as part of delivery. You can drill to a depth of up to 100 cm with each auger.
The device is delivered well packed in a wooden crate. You should allow approx. 2-3 hours for initial assembly. We are also happy to assist you on the phone. For the first use you need petrol, engine oil (approx. 1-1.5 litres of 10W40 or 15W40) and approx. 15 litres of hydraulic oil (HLP46).

Note:
The device is delivered well packed and part-assembled in a wooden crate. You should allow approx. 2-3 hours for final assembly. Step by step assembly instructions as well as several detailed diagrams are part of the manual that comes with your mower. Assembly is not difficult. However, in the event that you require any assistance, we are happy to help you. You will need approx. 1 litre of engine oil for the engine. For this purpose we recommend multi-grade oil of classification 10W40 or 15W40.
