The JANSEN® HMK-100 is a compact hydraulic mulching head designed for a wide range of mowing and mulching tasks. Thanks to its universal design, it is suitable for custom mounting on compatible carrier vehicles and carrier frames.

The HMK-100 is intentionally offered without a vehicle-specific mounting bracket. This allows the mulching head to be individually adapted to an existing carrier vehicle. To assist with the design and fabrication of a suitable mounting bracket or adapter frame, we provide a dimensioned hole pattern of the existing mounting points.

In addition, the JANSEN® HMK-100 can also be mounted and used on compatible JANSEN® HMS models, among others.

Hydraulic Drive

The JANSEN® HMK-100 is hydraulically driven. The hydraulic pump required for the drive is included with the mulching head.

For reliable operation, a hydraulic flow rate of at least approx. 25–30 l/min and an oil pressure of at least 150 bar are required.

In addition, a pressureless return line is required. Before installation, it must therefore be verified that the intended carrier vehicle or its hydraulic system meets the necessary requirements.

Hydraulic Connections

The following connections are required to integrate the HMK-100 into the hydraulic system:

Selectable direction of rotation for the flail shaft

Another advantage of the JANSEN® HMK-100 is the ability to change the direction of rotation of the flail shaft and thus of the Y-blades.

The hydraulic drive can operate in both directions of rotation. Depending on the hydraulic system of the carrier vehicle being used, the direction of rotation can be selected, for example, by swapping the hydraulic lines or using a suitable double-acting hydraulic control or a double-acting pedal.

This allows the HMK-100 to be flexibly adapted to the respective carrier vehicle and the existing hydraulic control system.

Robust flail shaft with 20 Y-blades

At the heart of the HMK-100 is the robust flail shaft with a diameter of 80 mm. The shaft is equipped with a total of 20 Y-blades mounted on movable bearings.

The rotation of the flail shaft captures and shreds the vegetation. This makes the HMK-100 suitable for various mowing and mulching tasks as well as for the regular maintenance of suitable green spaces and properties.

Trailing roller for even guidance

A robust trailing roller with a diameter of 102 mm ensures smooth guidance of the mulching head across the ground.

Combined with the compact design and the flexibly mounted Y-blades, this results in a versatile mulching head for suitable hydraulic carrier systems.

Universal Mounting – Customizable

A particular advantage of the JANSEN® HMK-100 is its flexible adaptability. The mulching head is not limited to a single carrier vehicle but can be adapted by the user to a suitable carrier vehicle or a corresponding carrier frame.

A vehicle-specific mounting bracket is not included in the scope of delivery. Instead, we provide a dimensioned hole pattern with the existing mounting points.

Based on these dimensions, the customer can design and manufacture a suitable mounting bracket or adapter frame.

Before installation, both the mechanical suitability and load-bearing capacity of the host vehicle as well as the available hydraulic power must be verified.

Also suitable for compatible JANSEN® HMS models

In addition to custom installation on suitable carrier vehicles, the JANSEN® HMK-100 can also be mounted and operated on compatible JANSEN® HMS models, among others.
