The JANSEN® HMB-180 is a hydraulic mowing bar with an extendable arm and is ideal for cutting hedges, shrubs, and brush. Its wide working range allows you to easily reach even hard-to-access areas.
Thanks to its self-contained hydraulic oil supply, the unit operates independently of the tractor’s hydraulic system. The PTO pump simply connects to your tractor’s PTO shaft and supplies the entire hydraulic system.

IDEAL FOR HEDGES AND BUSHES
With a working width of 180 cm, the HMB-180 enables fast and clean cutting of hedges and shrubs. The material to be cut may have a diameter of up to 2.5 cm.
The extension arm allows you to easily work on higher or hard-to-reach areas.
DEDICATED HYDRAULIC POWER SUPPLY
The HMB-180 attaches to the Cat. 1 three-point hitch on your tractor and features its own hydraulic system with a 20-liter hydraulic oil tank.
The standard PTO pump is mounted to your tractor’s PTO shaft (540 rpm). The included control valve with operating levers has sufficiently long hydraulic hoses and can be conveniently mounted on the tractor.

DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY
The unit is delivered well-packaged and partially disassembled in a sturdy steel frame.
Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours for final assembly and commissioning. An additional 20 liters of hydraulic oil is required for the initial fill. We recommend a hydraulic oil with the classification HLP46.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE CUTTING BAR
Please do not operate the mower bar at excessively high speeds, as this may damage the connecting rod. For guidance, we recommend watching our product video. The recommended operating speed is clearly shown starting at 2:03.

Heckenschneiden leicht gemacht !
Kann mich nur der Meinung von Herrn Gruber anschließen. Ich hab mein Gerät aber auf Kat.2 umgebaut, funktioniert perfekt, so macht Heckeschneiden wieder Freude :o)
Echt praktisch
Wenn ich daran denke, mit welchen waghalsigen Manövern (Motorsäge, Laderschaufel - da will ich jetzt nicht näher drauf eingehen...) wir früher in die Straße hängende Zweige abgeschnitten haben... Mit diesem Mähbalken erreichen wir nun bequem alles, was weg muss - auch wenn's mal etwas dicker ist.
Stecken geblieben ist das Messer noch nie - der hydraulische Antrieb scheint mehr als ausreichend Kraft zu entwickeln. Der Ausleger lässt sich mit etwas Fingerspitzengefühl recht präzise steuern. Leider ist uns die Verstärkungsplatte am unteren Ende des Mähbalkens gebrochen. Das Ersatzteil war aber bei Jansen lagernd und sehr schnell da.
Unseren 26 PS Traktor kann ich mit der 540er Eco Zapfwelleneinstellung bei halber Motordrehzahl laufen lassen, die Hydraulikdoppelpumpe fordert nicht wirklich viel Leistung vom Traktor. Das Gerät kommt ohne Hydrauliköl, also HLP-46 selber besorgen.
Fazit: Das Ding ist klasse!

Ich habe die besagte Heckenschere dieses Wochenende ausgiebig testen können und bin zufrieden.
Die Verarbeitung ist solide und das geringe Gewicht lässt auch meinen Schlepper gut damit zurecht kommen. Auch etwas dickere Zweige schafft die HMB problemlos.
Vor mir eine klar Kaufempfehlung.
